What Attendees are Saying

Dear Present Podiatry Team, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for another outstanding Desert Foot Conference. This meeting has held a special place in my professional journey, as I have been fortunate to attend since medical school, continued every year throughout residency, and now as an attending physician. Each stage of my career has been shaped in some way by this conference, and that continuity means more to me than I can easily express. Every year, Desert Foot is the conference I look forward to the most. The quality of the education, the thoughtfulness of the programming, and the sense of community you create are truly exceptional. It consistently provides both cutting-edge clinical insight and a renewed sense of inspiration for the work we do as podiatrists. Thank you for the immense effort, passion, and dedication your entire team puts into making this meeting such a success year after year. It does not go unnoticed, and it is deeply appreciated. Please know that if there is ever an opportunity for me to help support the conference or assist with promotion or outreach in any way, I would be more than happy to do so. It would be an honor to give back to a meeting that has given me so much over the years. I very much look forward to seeing you all again next year and continuing this tradition that has become such a meaningful part of my professional life.
With sincere gratitude,

Arthur “Art” Evensen, DPM, CWSP

As a new Limb Preservation Navigator, attending the Desert Foot Conference was an incredible experience. The most valuable aspect for me was the opportunity to learn cutting-edge strategies for preventing amputations and improving patient outcomes. The sessions on advanced wound care, vascular interventions, and multidisciplinary collaboration gave me practical tools I can immediately apply in my role. Networking with experts and peers who share the same passion for limb preservation was inspiring and reinforced the importance of teamwork in this field. This conference truly empowered me to elevate the care I provide.

Attending the Desert Foot Conference 2025 in Phoenix was an incredibly valuable experience. The lectures and hands-on workshops were high quality and strongly aligned with limb salvage and preservation. I especially appreciated the workshops, particularly the TTT session. While this procedure is not within my scope of practice to perform, learning about it enhanced my understanding of advanced limb-salvage options and better equips me to advocate effectively for my patients. The vendor presence was equally impressive and thoughtfully curated to support the limb salvage theme. Exhibits included topical oxygen therapy, wound vacuum systems, skin substitutes, and a wide range of wound dressing options—all highly relevant to real-world clinical practice. It was refreshing to see industry solutions that directly support complex wound and limb preservation care rather than generic offerings. I also valued the opportunity to learn how international colleagues deliver podiatric care within their healthcare systems, which broadened my perspective on global approaches to foot and ankle care.

Excellent conference. I try to attend every year, because I learn so much and have so much fun. I highly recommend this conference to all my colleagues. Staff are well-organized and knowledgeable, the pace and timing help keep my attention, the MC is entertaining, the topics are pertinent, and the speakers present them well. And, the food is fantastic. I especially enjoy the hands-on workshops and the opportunity to network and learn directly from the vendors and speakers. In addition the hotel accommodations are excellent, and the hotel staff are wonderful.

This was my first Desert Foot, and I was genuinely impressed on many levels. The quality, breadth, and depth of the talks were outstanding. I especially appreciated the consistent “vascular first” theme, and the inclusion of international faculty truly made the meeting feel best in class.
Linda Ciavarelli, DPM

After my lecture I was approached by a dozen attendees thanking me for the lecture and asking for more time for help with their transition to rural IHS care. I was humbled by the outpouring of gratitude from those I spent time with. Also the outpouring of acceptance from the other lecturers was heart warming. Again thanks to those who made me feel at ease.
